Religious Education/ Training at Work

What do we do about groups who wish to have faith education/training at work (e.g. Christian 'Alpha Courses')?

What the employer did:
In this case the organisation decided not to allow the course to take place.

EFB Comment:
Different organisations deal with this in different ways.

The vast majority of employers don't permit belief courses on company time or premises. However, some employers feel it is appropriate to enable faith groups to run courses at work; but there is a difference of opinion over whether these should be funded or not. Where employers have allowed courses (e.g. Alpha courses) to be held they have as a precaution in a number of instances allowed only members of their Christian Network to participate to avoid any suggestion that the workplace is being used to recruit or convert people to a different faith system.
