Prayer rooms and quiet space
A seminar for employers

Date:
TBC

Location:
TBC

Description:
This seminar follows the successful launch of ‘Recovering the Calm’, the guide to best practice in creating and managing prayer space for employees, (available at http://www.efrb.org.uk/publications/index.html). It will build on the material in the guide and offer an opportunity for a highly participative discussion about prayer space in the workplace.

It is part of a continuing collaboration between:

The Employers Forum on Belief, which offers employers practical guidance and shares good practice on issues of religion or belief in the workplace. The EFB is not affiliated to any religious group or philosophical belief and is concerned with employment; employers and employees.

And St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation & Peace, a unique meeting space in the heart of the City of London devoted to promoting understanding of the relationship between faith and conflict.

The seminar will cover the following:
  • prayer space experience from the point of view of both users and employers;
  • considerations for design, led by Helen Sanderson of Quiet Room Designs;
  • the ‘do’s and don’ts’ of creating and maintaining a successful prayer space and how to overcome some common problems

Price:
£150 per participant.
